BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - Boardman police officers released reports Thursday on four separate retail theft investigations involving more than $2,400 in combined merchandise, including accusations against a store employee and a pair of suspects allegedly working together.
In the largest single loss reported, loss prevention personnel at the Target on Boardman-Canfield Road told police a woman stole $1,063.31 in merchandise on Nov. 17. The report states the woman "skip-scanned" inexpensive items like Christmas decorations before pushing a cart full of unpaid goods past the points of sale and fleeing in a red Chevrolet SUV.
