LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - UPS says that despite the grounding of its MD-11 fleet following the crash of UPS 2976 last month, it has contingency plans for holiday shipping to prevent delays.
The shipping giant says it has a global fleet of more than 500 owned and chartered aircraft and they say they will be able to keep moving packages through its holiday rush.
They also are using automation and AI-driven planning and upgrades to predict demand and disruptions for logistics.
“We have contingency plans in place to ensure we continue delivering the reliable service our customers expect worldwide. With a global fleet of more than 500 owned and chartered aircraft, we’re confident in our ability to keep shipments moving and meet customer needs, now and throughout peak season,” reads a statemen
