EXCLUSIVE : Hot Snakes Media , the company behind Investigation Discovery’s hit series The Curious Case of Natalia Grace , is going down some online rabbit holes for a new way to develop true-crime shows.

The company, run by Shannon and Eric Evangelista, has struck a partnership with Websleuths , the long-running online community of armchair-detectives.

The idea gives Hot Snakes, which is also behind series such as Netflix’s DeafU and TLC’s franchise Breaking Amish , first-look access to stories, real-time case chatter and community-driven breakthroughs that surfaces through the platform.
