Boise City Department of Arts and History’s grant program has infused funds into the culture of Idaho since 1997. Starting with just $10,000 committed from the City of Boise’s general fund by former Mayor Brent Coles, the program has grown its reach significantly since then. In fact, over the past 28 years, the Department of Arts and History has awarded more than 500 grants totaling more than $2.1 million.
