Belagavi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told the Legislative Council on Thursday that the state government will fill vacant posts in various departments in a phased manner after obtaining approval from the Finance Department.
Responding to a question raised by BJP member Nirani Hanamant Rudrappa during the Question Hour, the Chief Minister said Karnataka currently has a total of 2,84,881 vacant posts across government departments. Of these, 1,01,420 vacancies are in different boards and corporations, while 14,677 posts are vacant in universities, bringing the total to 1,16,097 vacancies in these bodies.
