Judge Hannah Dugan trial: On the eve of jury selection, a look ahead at the local case's national implications

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- Jury selection will start Thursday morning for Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan's federal trial.

Dugan is charged with helping a man evade federal ICE agents who were trying to arrest him. The trial is set to begin Monday, Dec. 15.

Dugan and her legal team insist she did not violate the law when she ordered the ICE agents to speak with the chief judge and then directed Eduardo Flores Ruiz out of her courtroom.

She was arrested by FBI agents a week later.

The US Attorney's Office anticipates between 25 and 28 witnesses and estimates testimony could last a week.
