Facing growing speculation of unease within its ranks following the recent Cabinet reshuffle, the United Democratic Party (UDP) on Thursday sought to project an image of unity and forward momentum.
UDP chief and Cabinet Minister Metbah Lyngdoh dismissed reports of internal dissatisfaction — including rumours that working president Paul Lyngdoh might consider exiting the party.
“I have nothing to say about what people are discussing outside,” he said, adding that any leader with concerns should raise them within the party forum, not in public.
Metbah also avoided commenting on developments in other political parties, saying it would be “unfair” to do so without full information. “I don’t want to make assumptions,” he noted.
