A woman wept in the dock as she was sent down for taking two suitcases 'packed full of cannabis' through Manchester Airport . Shannon Gandy-Feeney was stopped by Border Force officers on August 16.
The 24-year-old spent 10 days in Thailand before returning to the UK, Manchester Crown Court heard. She claimed she didn't know the codes to the two suitcases she had with her.
Just under 30kg of cannabis was found inside after officers opened them with bolt cutters. Prosecuting, Phillip Hall told the court the drugs had an estimated wholesale value of around £76,000 and a street value of around £300,000.
