Like other West Coast events, American Express awaits word on 2027

For Pat McCabe, the focus of his staff needs to be on the 2026 American Express PGA Tour event in La Quinta. For now, 2027 and 2028 will take care of themselves.

“We control what we can control,” said McCabe, the executive director of The American Express event. “Nothing has come down to us as far as what is going to happen, whether that’s myself or the entire West Coast swing. But we’ve got a contract with American Express, we’ve got a contract with PGA West and La Quinta Resort to host the event.”
