A County Durham fish and chip shop worker is vying to become 'Employee of the Year' at the National Fish & Chip Awards after being named in a three-person shortlist.

Donna Whitfield from Bells Fish & Chips, Durham, will go up against two other top professionals from across the industry in the UK in the finals of the awards.

The National Fish & Chip Awards recognise and underpin sector best practice and now in its 38th instalment, the standards continue to elevate year after year.
