1GLEN BURNIE, MD – A traffic crash investigation in Glen Burnie led to two arrests Tuesday night after officers discovered a loaded handgun at the scene, Anne Arundel County Police said.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. near Elvaton Road and Hidden Brook Drive.
Officers responding to the crash learned that the driver of one of the vehicles had handed a firearm to a woman shortly after the collision.
Loaded Glock recovered
Police said the woman was found to be carrying a loaded 9mm Glock handgun. The firearm was immediately secured by responding officers, and both individuals were taken into custody without incident.
The driver was identified as 28-year-old Raphael Szeman of Stevensville, and the woman as 27-year-old Lilian Hazel of Annapolis. Both now face weapons-related charges.
