Syracuse, N.Y. – The Onondaga County Industrial Development Agency on Thursday approved a $3 million settlement with Azalia King, the 91-year-old widow who lives in a home on land where Micron Technology plans to build a huge semiconductor plant.

The agency voted 5-0 to pay King $450,000 to vacate the home on Caughdenoy Road in Clay by May 1. In addition, the agency agreed to pay her $2.5 million for a 6.5-acre vacant property across the street from the home.

The deal ends litigation between King and the agency over her occupancy of the home, which she and her late husband, Glenn, sold to the agency in 2005 for $330,750.

The 2005 sale included an agreement allowing the Kings to live in the house until they died. Glenn died in 2015.
