For the past six years, Marc Allemang was serving as a wrestling coach at two different high schools.
After teaching social studies at Mt. Lebanon, Allemang would serve as coach of the Blue Devils’ wrestling team until 6 p.m., then drive to Thomas Jefferson and run the Jaguars’ youth program until 9 p.m.
“It’s a very demanding schedule, but I wanted to coach my son,” Allemang said. "My son Jackson is in sixth grade and will be in junior high next year.”
That all changed when Michael Ladick retired after 10 seasons as Thomas Jefferson’s head varsity coach after the 2024-25 season.
“I lived one mile from Thomas Jefferson High School for the past 15 years,” said Allemang. “So when Michael retired, I applied for his job. This allows me to coach at one school and follow the athletic careers
