People living in Canada who are not Canadian citizens and want to visit the U.S. could soon be required to provide their social media history if a new rule comes into effect.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published a proposal that could update its Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) for dozens of countries as part of President Donald Trump and his administration’s efforts to better screen and evaluate visitors.
