Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday issued a strong warning that India must not treat Bangladesh as a friendly country, alleging that the neighbouring nation under its interim leadership has sinister designs on India’s Northeast, including Assam . Speaking at the Agenda AajTak programme on Thursday, Sarma said recent political developments in Dhaka posed a direct threat to India’s border states.
