A snow squall warning was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 2:24 p.m. in effect until 3 p.m. for Monroe County.
"At 2:22 p.m., a dangerous snow squall was located over Gouldsboro, or 9 miles northwest of Mount Pocono, moving east at 35 mph," says the weather service. "This includes Interstate 380 between mile markers 0 and 14."
Locations impacted by the warning include Mount Pocono, Tobyhanna, Henryville, Werry Lake, Skytop, Mountainhome, Canadensis, Alpine Mountain, Echo Lake, Paradise Valley, Gouldsboro State Park, Cresco and Hidden Lake.
