If and when amendments to an ordinance pertaining to their duties eventually pass, which is more than likely to occur, the manager will be required to provide the council with a more detailed view of the town's financials before and during the annual budget season.
At its December 9 meeting, the Warren Town Council initially passed a series changes to the duties of the town manager as described in Chapter 2, Article III, Division 1, Sec. 2-61.
The amendments were brought to the floor by Councilor Louis Rego and written into legislative form by Town Solicitor Anthony DeSisto. The fiscal provisions have been at the forefront of Rego's personal set of priorities since rejoining the body upon the 2024 election.
