Should the town increase the dog license fee from $6 to $8 to pay for dog waste removal service at the dog park?

Members of the Barrington Town Council discussed the topic during their Dec. 1 meeting. Councilor Kate Berard said she would support a fee increase, adding that other municipalities charge more than Barrington does. Councilor Jordan Jancosek was fine with the fee increase as well, but councilor Kerry O’Neill said he would like more data before voting on the issue.

Some members of the public opposed the idea, which surfaced as a recommendation from the Barrington Park and Recreation Commission.
