KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Four Tennessee freshmen were named to the SEC All-Freshman team on Thursday.

Offensively, Braylon Staley and David Sanders Jr. received the honor, while Ty Redmond and Edwin Spillman were selected on the defense.

Staley, the SEC Freshman of the Year, hauled in 64 passes for 806 yards and 6 touchdowns during his redshirt freshman campaign.

After missing Tennessee’s first four games of the season with an injury, David Sanders Jr. made up for lost time, earning Freshman All-American honors from On3. The Charlotte native made five starts and drew only two penalties all season for the SEC’s top-ranked offense.
