More infant remains were found at a second burial site of a notorious home for unwed mothers and their babies in Ireland.
According to local media, forensic and archaeological experts excavating the grounds of the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway, since the summer have recovered four more sets of human remains, according to an update issued last week from the Office of the Director of the Intervention Team (ODAIT).
A total of 11 infant remains, buried in coffins barely below the surface, have now been removed from the property.
“The manner of burial of these four sets of human remains was consistent with that of the seven sets of human remains reported in Technical Update 3, published on 7 November 2025,” the ODAIT update said, reports the Irish Examiner .
