SANDUSKY, Ohio — Robert Bores, the Erie County man accused of , was set to be sentenced Thursday after previously pleading guilty. Instead, court records show that the 35-year-old Berlin Heights man has filed a motion to withdraw that plea.
Erie County Common Pleas Court Judge Roger Binette "conditionally" granted Bores' motion to continue sentencing, stating in court documents that it would not be for the normal 60 days. Initially, Binette had ruled against a continuance, but he recalled that he had previously told Bores that he would grant one if it was asked for.
During a hearing on Sept. 15, it was announced that Bores had agreed to plead guilty to two counts of felony domestic violence. A third domestic violence charge and three counts of child endangerment were dropped.
