Cold front brings near-record lows across Central Florida – Central Florida, get ready — we’ve got another cold night on the way. A cold front slid through on Thursday and is giving us an extra push of chilly air for Friday morning. It’s a dry front (so no rain to worry about), but you’ll definitely feel that cooler air when you step outside.
Some areas might even break or tie long-standing record lows. Orlando is forecast to start at 46°, with the old record at 42° from 1934.
Daytona Beach could wake up to 43°, just below the record of 44° set back in 1957.
Leesburg may drop to 43°, beating its 1980 record of 51° by a wide margin.
