MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - We have been talking all about the cold temperatures for quite some time and now they are here. An arctic air mass is firmly in place across the region today, bringing high temperatures significantly below average in the single digits throughout southern Wisconsin. Expect mostly cloudy skies and dry conditions today as the snow will remain well to the south across Iowa and Illinois. Northwest winds will continue, producing dangerous wind chills as low as −25°F.
