Within the last week, Local 3 has reported on two fatal wrong-way driver crashes and one wrong-way driver near miss.

On Thursday, December 5, a car was traveling in the opposite direction on I-75 Southbound in Whitfield County during a police pursuit. The car hit a pick-up truck and then a tractor trailer. All three passengers in the car were killed.

The driver, who deputies said seemed "impaired," had gotten onto I-75 southbound going the opposite direction while being pursued by law enforcement.

Just five days later, a van was traveling the wrong way on I-24 Eastbound in Dade County. The driver of that vehicle was killed.
