The Boston Red Sox have been busy early this offseason, but there’s a new sense of urgency surrounding the team after they missed out on both Kyle Schwarber and Pete Alonso in free agency. With both guys landing big-money deals, that could lead the Red Sox to turn back to the trade market.
Boston has already swung a pair of trades for Sonny Gray and Johan Oviedo, bolstering their starting rotation, which was one of their primary goals entering the offseason. However, the team has continued to get linked to some of the top pitching trade targets across the league, with one of them being Freddy Peralta of the Milwaukee Brewers.
