A Birmingham woman is facing felony charges after authorities say she injured her 71-year-old mother during separate assaults.

Quiana Siobhan Bell, 43, is charged with first-degree elder abuse and neglect and second-degree assault, according to court records made public Thursday.

Charging documents against Bell said the alleged assaults happened in Midfield between Aug. 4, 2024, and Aug. 13, 2024.

In one incident, records state, Bell shoved her mother to the ground, fracturing the victim’s hip.

In another incident, Bell is accused of spraying her mother in the face with pepper spray. Midfield Fire and Rescue Service responded to the home to decontaminate the victim, according to the warrants.
