TRAVERSE CITY — A Traverse City educator at Eastern Elementary School received a major surprise this week after the Detroit Lions selected him as one of their “Touchdown for Teachers” honorees, awarding him two tickets to a Lions home game along with a $3,000 classroom grant.
The program recognizes Michigan teachers who make significant impacts in their schools and communities. Every year, the Lions honor educators who exceed expectations, striving to provide support for their efforts both within and beyond the classroom.
