HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - With the holidays right around the corner, many are thinking about what to gift their children while also keeping them safe.

Lisa Dau, registered nurse and injury prevention coordinator for the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, joined Healthier Hawaii Wednesday to give her take.

“Basically, if it’s small enough in there to fit in their mouth, stay away from them and make sure they’re age-appropriate,” said Dau.

One of the most popular toys this holiday season is the Labubu doll, an elf-like monster collectible that has become a viral sensation and a fashion accessory among teenagers.
