A classroom disturbance escalated into a physical fight among students at a Pennsylvania high school, police announced on Thursday, Dec. 11.

Bradley Reiher, 45, of Tarentum, is accused of provoking a fight among students inside Classroom 202 in October, according to police. Reiher, a math teacher at Valley Junior-Senior High School in New Kensington, is charged with misdemeanor corruption of minors and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of children, investigators said.

A criminal complaint states the investigation began after video of the incident surfaced on social media. In the recording, Reiher could be heard saying, "Stand up and do something already, quit talking and do it," and, "Let's go, you standing up or not?" according to the complaint.

One of the students then stood up and walked past Reiher to repeatedly ask another student if they wanted to fight, investigators said. The student threw the first punch, and the situation became physical before a third student entered the fight, police explained.

Reiher and another teacher eventually broke up the fight, according to the report.

All three students involved told authorities Reiher provoked the fight and failed to stop it, investigators said.

Reiher is expected to appear for a preliminary hearing in January, police added.
