No criminal acts occurred in the death of 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala after he was found unconscious on a roller coaster at Epic Universe earlier this year, according to an incident report from the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Zavala's Sept. 17 death was ruled an accident, and the case has now been closed, OCSO said on Thursday.

What happened?

Zavala was a guest at Epic Universe and died after riding on the Stardust Racers roller coaster.

The OCSO said off-duty deputies responded to a "man down" call at the theme park.

Once they arrived at the scene, they found Zavala who was unresponsive. He was then transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The medical examiner confirmed that the death was accidental, citing multiple blunt impact injuries .
