Nevada State Police have identified the man killed in a two-vehicle crash on Mount Rose Highway last month as Sanchez Soto, 51, of Reno.
The crash occurred about 8:58 a.m. Nov. 16 on State Route 431 near Washoe mile marker eight, according to police.
A preliminary investigation shows a 2010 Subaru Outback was traveling westbound when the driver was going too fast for snowy and icy conditions. The vehicle began to rotate and crossed into the eastbound lane, where it was struck by a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban.
Soto, the driver of the Subaru Outback, was pronounced dead at the scene.
