A music group has canceled a Syracuse concert due to visa issues preventing them from performing in the United States.
The Folkus Project announced Wednesday that Maggie’s Wake, a Canadian folk-roots band, will not be able to perform Friday, Dec. 12 at the May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society in Syracuse.
“As you may know, Canadian musicians are facing significant challenges with P2 visa processing,” the Folkus Project said. “Despite submitting their application in May, Maggie’s Wake has not yet received their visa to perform in the United States. They are unable to enter the U.S. until the government processes their visa.”
