ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) – With extremely cold temperatures expected this weekend, the Salvation Army location in Ashland will be used as a warming station, according to Boyd County Management.
The Emergency Shelter is located at 2212 Carter Ave. in Ashland.
The hours will be as follows:
- Friday, Dec. 12 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salvation Army Social Service Lobby next door to the Emergency Shelter. The Emergency Shelter will be open as a warming station after 3 p.m. on weekdays.
- On weekends, the warming station will only be open in the Emergency Shelter. Normal overnight sheltering intake will start daily at 6 p.m.
