NEW DELHI: Following requests from chief electoral officers, Election Commission revised Thursday the schedule for the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of poll rolls in five states and a UT. The last date to submit enumeration forms in Tamil Nadu and Gujarat has now been fixed as Dec 14, while the draft electoral rolls will be published on Dec 19. The exercise will conclude on Dec 18 in MP, Chhattisgarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, while their draft rolls will be published Dec 23. The final date for the submission of enumeration forms and the publication of draft electoral roll in UP has been decided as Dec 26 and Dec 31, respectively.
