An investigation is underway after a body inside of a vehicle parked just steps away from the doors of Humber River Hospital’s emergency department reportedly went unnoticed for days before being discovered.
Police and paramedics were called to the North York hospital, near Keele Street and Wilson Avenue , just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Paramedics say the individual was discovered inside a vehicle parked in front of the emergency department. The person was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear.
Speaking to the Star on Thursday, paramedics said the body appeared to have been in the vehicle for a “couple days” by the time it was discovered. They declined to comment further.
