COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The man convicted of second-degree murder in the 2023 death of a Fountain Police Officer has been sentenced to 132 years in prison.

In 2024, Devon Bobian was found guilty of the death of Fountain Police Officer Julian Becerra.

According to court papers, Bobian was driving a stolen car and led officers on a chase near I-25 and South Academy Boulevard in February 2023.

Bobian had reportedly gotten out of the car and began to run away after police forced the stolen car to stop. Body-worn camera video showed Officer Becerra then chasing Bobian before court papers said he went off a bridge, falling 35 to 40 feet. He died nine days later from multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
