Westport Village kicks off the season with its 'Rockin’ Around the Village'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Westport Village is officially ringing in the holidays this weekend with its newest seasonal celebration: Rockin’ Around the Village.

The event marks a refreshed chapter for the shopping center’s longtime holiday tradition.

"This would have been the sixth 'All Is Bright,' but this is actually the very first 'Rockin’ Around the Village' because we did change the name this year," said Carmen Schreiber, marketing manager with Westport Village.

One of the highlights, Schreiber says, is that the evening helps shine a light on small, locally owned shops.

"We love that this event brings in outside vendors. Most of them are locally owned businesses, along with our around 40 shops that we have. It’s really just great for the whole community, a great excuse to shop local," Sch
