PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says that star outside linebacker T.J. Watt is dealing with a long issue and has been hospitalized. The two parties have been in contact with one another and Watt ‘is in good spirits,’ but the full extent of his injury is unknown.

“I’m a little bit cautious about what I say, because I am not a medical expert,” Tomlin said. “But to make a long story short, he was experiencing some discomfort when he was at the facility yesterday. So, we took him to the docs and they’re going through some procedures. He stayed overnight in the hospital.”

Tomlin says those tests will determine if Watt ends up playing on Monday against the Miami Dolphins. He did not have any further clarification on how the injury occurred.
