ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WILX) - Students at the University of Michigan say they’re shocked after former head football coach Sherrone Moore was fired for cause over an alleged “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member.
Moore was also arrested Wednesday amid an alleged assault investigation. Details surrounding his arrest remain limited, as of Thursday evening, as he is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
“It was really disappointing, especially right before playing Texas in the bowl game,” student Brody Webb said, adding he hopes interim coach Biff Poggi can steady the team.
Others tell News 10 the situation adds to recent turmoil surrounding the school.
“It’s just a really bad look for our program,” student Grant Facktor said.
Some students say they believe the university acted quick
