Anchorage Police arrested a man early Tuesday morning after a chaotic pursuit downtown.
Police were trying to locate 31-year-old Jeremiah Talai, who had two outstanding felony warrants, near Cope Street just after 1:25 a.m.
Officers say a vehicle left the area and failed to stop during a traffic attempt. The car struck a patrol vehicle and two parked cars before the occupants fled on foot. Talai was confirmed to be one of the fleeing suspects.
After a short foot chase, officers deployed a drone and K9 resources to locate Talai hiding in a backyard near West Tudor Road. He initially ignored commands, but K9 Ray apprehended him without further incident.
