61-year-old man dead, identified after being struck by county bus in Greenfield

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) released a statement, saying that after an internal investigation the driver of the bus that struck a 61-year-old on Saturday, Nov. 22, near 56th and W. Forest Home has been fired.

The victim, identified as 61-year-old George Kayser of Wauwatosa, was found by officers in the roadway with a significant head injury. He was transported to a Froedtert Hospital where he died.

The 55-year-old driver of the bus remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

MCTS states that two days after the incident, the driver was terminated on Nov. 24. and no longer employed with the organization.
