For a century, the Nela Park Christmas light display in East Cleveland served as a brilliant beacon of holiday tradition, and Today in Ohio host Lisa Garvin said Thursday she’s happy she went to see it last year.
That’s because this year, the lights have been extinguished, leaving Clevelanders saddened.
“I’m so glad I went and took a bunch of pictures last year because the Nela Park light lights are no more after a hundred years,” Garvin said. “The only evidence of a Christmas light display at Nela Park is just one tree and a couple of snowflakes at the entrance.”
