Arkansas employee spent $2,900 in state funds on Caribbean trip for two, auditor reports

An employee at the Arkansas Securities Department used an agency travel card to make about $2,900 in unauthorized personal purchases for a trip to the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, a deputy legislative auditor reported Thursday.
