Ryan Reaves will be back in Toronto on Thursday night when the San Jose Sharks face the Maple Leafs. It will be his first time skating in Scotiabank Arena since the Leafs traded him this past summer. The 38-year-old veteran has spoken honestly about his messy exit from Toronto and how he feels heading into his return.

“They basically said that I couldn’t play in this league anymore, and I’m back,” Reaves chirped.

“I met some great people. I had a great time here. Obviously, it didn’t go the way I wanted. That happens, though. I’ve been on teams where it just didn’t work out, and I don’t hold any grudges. Business is business, and you move on. It was an honor to put on the Leafs jersey.”
