Thoubal, December 11 2025: The Khongjom Circle Meira Paibi Forum has expressed deep condolences over the sudden demise of its president, Ima Sapam Ongbi Bimola Leima of Sapam Khumang, Khongjom, who passed away on December 8.In a statement, the Forum recalled that Ima Bimola served as the first publicity secretary when the organisation was established in 1997 through the unification of 11 Meira Paibi groups in the Khongjom circle.

She was serving as the president of the Forum until her demise.

The Forum noted that her passing is not only a great loss to the organisation but also to the people of Manipur.

Members of the Forum visited her residence, offered floral tributes and observed a minute's silence in honour of the departed soul.
