EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Tri-State Food Bank will be holding its annual holiday mobile food distribution event Friday morning at Central High School and Washington Square Mall.
They will serve 250 food kits at each location. Organizers say if it’s anything like years past food could be gone within an hour.
Officials say there is no pre-registration required.
“We just ask of course that people through the honor system, if you need food, come on, of course,” says Joe Klemczewski, Tri-State Food Bank resource development officer. “We wanna make sure you and your family have a great holiday.”
They say donations have gone down since losing government funding at the beginning of the year. However, the community rallied together to help fill that gap.
