Fifty-two people applied for a vacancy on the Frederick County Board of Education by Wednesday's deadline, the county government said in a post on its website Thursday.
Among those who applied are most of the current candidates for school board who have already filed for the 2026 election. Former school board member Jason Johnson also submitted an application.
