SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Two teens are now being charged as adults for reportedly robbing an older woman at gunpoint at an apartment complex in Shreveport.

The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office says Javonta Black, 16, of Bossier City, and Cortavion Ester, also 16, are accused in the Nov. 7 armed robbery, which happened in south Shreveport.

On Dec. 10, a judge ordered Black to be transferred from the juvenile detention center to the Caddo Correctional Center (CCC).

The DA’s office says Black and Ester are accused of robbing a 62-year-old woman at the Millicent Way apartments. Officials say the pair accosted the woman while wearing ski masks; one of them pointed a gun at her, officials say.
