It took just 3 seconds for the Bruins and Jets to get nasty.
As soon as the opening faceoff dropped at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, so did the gloves. Mark Kastelic and Luke Schenn clearly had something preplanned as they moved to the center of the ice and paired off for a game-opening fight.
The Bruins and Jets, who had a fight-filled game almost exactly a year ago, picked up where they left off on Thursday. Kastelic landed a couple of inside right hands to open the bout. Schenn answered with one good shot before tying up Kastelic and pushing him to the ice before the linesmen jumped in.
