Another year of N.J. high school wrestling is here.

The race to Jersey Mike’s Arena for the NJSIAA State Championships has officially begun and N.J.’s best squads will be jousting all winter for their chance at a title.

Delsea

The Crusaders kicked off the drive for five on Wednesday night with a 48-24 win over West Deptford. Delsea has won the last four state Group 3 titles and it remains the favorite until somebody says otherwise. Sal Marchese is back at 215 pounds after finishing third in the state a year ago. Former region champion Amari Vann and state qualifier Greyson Pettit are back after their postseasons ended prematurely a year ago while Cameron Pote is another state qualifier.
